Grants & foundations

Fund the infrastructure behind community organizing.

Revel Sphere helps community members, organizers, and agencies plan, gather, and follow up together. The community platform is free for everyone, always. Foundations that fund civic tech, mutual aid, and volunteer engagement can help more groups reach it.

Grants & foundations

Funding the infrastructure for community organizing.

If your foundation funds civic-tech, mutual aid, community organizing infrastructure, or volunteer engagement, we’d love to talk. Revel Sphere is the kind of project a small grant moves meaningfully: it doesn’t take a half-million-dollar round to keep this running and accessible.

Grant-funded work can be routed through a fiscal sponsor for tax-deductible giving when that matters to your team.

What a grant unlocks

  • Free white-label deployments

For nonprofits that can’t afford the paid build but would benefit from a branded volunteer surface.

  • Cohort onboarding

Shepherding 10–20 community groups onto the platform with hands-on setup and a peer-learning track.

  • AI agent capacity

Free-tier inference budget for organizing agents (planning, grant-writing, debrief) so cost never blocks adoption.

  • Open-source release

A path to releasing the platform under a license that ensures grant-funded work stays publicly available.

How we think about money

  • The free product stays free. No paywall behind a community sphere, ever.
  • The Organization Plan, white-label builds, and ops engagements pay for the platform’s runtime. Grants make it more accessible to groups who couldn’t otherwise reach it.
  • We won’t take money that comes with strings on what communities can organize around. Full stop.
